Recycle challenge at Hambo Hoedown

Het is vandaag Koninginnedag hier in Nederland en dat moeten we vieren! Dat doe ik hier met een heel leuk nieuw kaartje. Deze kaart is alleen voor Hambo challenges gemaakt. 

Today we celebrate a Holiday here in Holland. Queensday. Thats the day we celebrate the birthday of the queen before this queen. Or was it the queen before that? Anyway, Its a whole lot of fun here!! Orange Pennents and flags everywhere you look, music and much much more. I celebrate this day here on my blog by showing you this card I made for the Hambo Hoedown.

De opdracht was de geit of een andere stempel en veel gerecyclede spullen te gebruiken voor je kaart. 

De digitale stempel heet Goat en is van Hambo Stamps. 

Ik heb wat scrap papier gebruikt, nep borduren, strass steentjes, puffy velvet stiften (de geit zijn haar en sik) en andere leuke dingetjes.

The challenge was "recycle". We had the choice to use the goat stamp, or a different Hambo stamp, and I used the Goat, cuz I like a challenge :-D

a lot of fun stuff on the card: Faux stitching, a lot of scrap paper, bling, Puffy Velvet Markers (on the goat his hair and beard.. goatie? Whats the correct word for his beardy thing?) and a whole lot more fun stuff.

** Translating the sentiment: It literaly says: Forward with the Goat. It means Come one, youre almost there, just a little bit more, do it, go for it etc.. Fun card to give to someone who sits for an examination or something like that :)

 De geit heeft een overall aan en ik wist dat ik nog ergens een stukje behang papier had, wat bedrukt is met een spijkerstof motief. De geit is gepaperpieced met dit behang. Geeft een leuk effect he?

Verder heb ik deze keer geen inkt of stiften gebruikt om te kleuren, maar hele simpele potloden. Ik heb wat geëxperimenteerd met de potloden zodat de geit zijn vacht echter lijkt.

The Goat is dressed in a overall. When I think of overalls I think of jeans fabric. I have some wallpaper with jeans fabric motive on it and tought it would be a lot of fun paperpiecing that on the digi stamp. Love to know your opinion on it. 

No ink coloring this time. I used some old and simple pencils, that I got from my Godmother. {She brought me 4 (4? YES 4!!!) big shoppingbags full of crafting stuff, that she no longer uses. There was a lot of fun stuff in those bags, but thats another story to tell you, some other day.}

His head looks like its covered with fur. To make it look like that I used the flicking technique with the pencils. 

Love to try new things. You never know how it will turn out. 

Toen ik aan het nadenken was, wat voor soort kaartje ik wilde maken, schoot een scene van Belle en het Beest door mijn hoofd, waar Belle bij een fontein zit en een geit haar boek probeert te eten. Dat vond ik wel een leuk idee om in mijn kaartje te verwerken, dus heb ik met de Spellbinder die "Scalloped Oval" een stuk uit het kaartje gestanst. 

When I was thinking about what kind of card I wanted to make, I tought of a scene of the Disney Classic Beauty and the Beast, where Belle is sitting near a fountain and a goat tries to eat her book. 

So, my card is also eaten by the goat. 
Using a Spellbinders die.. no a real goat ofcourse.

Ik heb wat dies gebruikt van het merk Spellbinders, strass steentjes en een beetje lint. De binnenkant is niet zo simpel als andere kaarten die ik heb gemaakt maar alsnog simpel genoeg en genoeg ruimte om te schrijven.

Ik ga naar buiten, met dit mooie weer, Koninginnedag vieren!

Used some spellbinder dies, bling and ribbon. Not as simple as other cards I made, but simple enough  and enough room to write on
